It goes without saying that one of the sublime ambition that every academic or scientific institutions aspire to is introducing the methods of the objective, scientific and academic research into every field of knowledge such as philosophy, literature, art, politics, art and media…..In this way, it might be possible to formulate new theories and to come up with new concepts in different areas concerning many problems in life. This will also lead to a self- consciousness that embraces the history of human existence at all the levels.

Given that HGUJM is deeply concerned with such a subtle ambition, it gives initially the priority to all what serves the scientific research and encourages the culture of dialogue. This persistent willingness to promote the scientific research has been actually translated into the foundation of the centre of research and studies. Its philosophy is based upon a complete methodological understanding of the tools of the scientific research in different areas of culture, science and specialities in which the university is vividly interested.

● Encouraging and carrying out different researches and theoretical and practical studies on issues related to Arabic, Tamazight and international journalism and media.

● These studies will focus on different political, psychological, cultural, social, journalistic and media issues so as to meet the needs of the regional and international public opinion.

● Organising different cultural and scientific activities with the participation of different, educational, cultural and official western and Arab organizations, both in the Netherlands and overseas.

● Sealing different deals and contracts of cooperation with many academic and civil organizations.

● Involving and encouraging the scientific methods of research in a way that improves the scientific works of researchers in different specialities and areas related to journalism and media studies.

● Providing the library of the university with the specialised books and papers that have been recently published. Creating an online library which will contain the research papers of the students and the most important bibliographical references.

● Organising forums and seminars in Arabic, Tamazight and Dutch languages. The aim of such meetings is to shed light on different cultural issues that might be related to journalism and media.  Teachers, students and invited personalities, both Muslim and non- Muslim, will take part in these forums and seminars. 

● Creating a specialised scientific magazine that will represent the views  of HGUJM
