Admission and registration
1. The student should be holder of a secondary
school qualification (or its equivalent in the Arab countries), if it is not the
case, then the University organises courses related to such qualification which
ends up with a general exam in language, culture, media and the like.
2. Meeting the pre-requisites of the preliminary
admission.
3. Selecting the courses he is entitled to follow
and the qualification he would like to have (it is compulsory to complete the
secondary school program so as to take part in the University education courses,
and to have a BA to register in a MA degree program, and to have an MA to
register in a PhD program).
4. The students might be transferred from one Arabic
University to another provided they select the same course or a course similar
to it.
5. In some cases it is possible to hold examinations
in Arabic language, in Tamazight or in any other foreign language before the
final admission (of certain students) is announced.Highly qualified teachers
will monitor such examinations.
6. The student should send his application form to
the University to which his current degree is attached and in which he selects
the course he would like to follow. Then the University will send him a primary
admission, specifying the period of time in which he is supposed to pay the
first part of his tuition fees. The University will then send him a final
admission, whereby it specifies the suitable course for the student. The latter
will equally receive the literature (bibliography) he needs for his studies. And
later on, a teacher will be appointed in order to supervise his studies.
Tuition Fees
The University charges fees to cover the courses and
the programs it offers. These will secure its existence since it does receive no
external financial support from any institution. The University relies indeed on
the voluntary work of some teachers, and on the tuition fees that the students
are supposed to pay in order to cover the costs related to the rent and the
salaries of the staff.
Nevertheless, the University has taken into account
the financial situation of Muslim and Arab students. Thus, it has fixed the
tuition fees in conformity with their abilities. In the meantime, it has chosen
to reduce the cost of sending the literature by opting for the electronic option
(compact discs: CDs) and other modern technique.
Likewise, the students will be exempted this year
from the fees related to the administration work. In what follows, we present
some formalities related to the tuition fees:
1. The tuition fees might be paid in one or two
terms: the first part will be paid immediately after his admission, while the
second will be paid in April of the coming academic year.
2. The fees are refundable only in two weeks time
after the registration. . However, the fees related to the academic program
books will not be refunded.
3. The fees are not refunded after the final
admission.
4. Exceptions can be made for those students who
have strong wish to join the university;
but are either in urgent financial need or are well
famous journalists. The administration of the University will decide who comes
under in this category.
